Pronghorn are endemic to North America and make their home in the high plains and sagebrush sea of the American West. Like many ungulate species, they rely on the ability to roam freely, migrating across vast landscapes to avoid bad weather and find food. Along the Colorado-Wyoming border, the North Platte River Valley provides ideal habitat, but the miles of fences used to manage cattle often become barriers to pronghorn and other wildlife.
